Part 1 – PEKiP Basic Course
The basic course consists of 100 hours of in-person sessions, usually spread over 6 to 9 months, along with approximately 50 hours of self-study.
The course sessions typically take place during weekend blocks, with the following schedule: Fridays from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
During the basic course, participants will learn the theory, methodology, and didactics of the Prager Parent-Child Program (PEKiP). They will integrate their experiences, skills, and knowledge from their social-pedagogical background with the requirements of leading a PEKiP group.
Key topics covered in the course include:
- PEKiP play and movement stimuli in the first year of life
- Developmental psychology fundamentals for the first year of life
- Pedagogical action in an adult-child group
- Promoting learning processes in both adults and children within a group
Part 2 – PEKiP Practical Reflection
The basic course is followed by the PEKiP practical phase and practical reflection, totaling 25 hours over approximately 9 months.
During this phase, participants lead their own PEKiP groups and are supported by a PEKiP trainer in small groups (5 meetings).
PEKiP Certificate
After successfully completing the training (basic course and practical reflection), participants will receive the PEKiP certificate.
By signing the usage agreement, certified PEKiP group leaders are authorized to use the legally protected brand name "PEKiP" and the PEKiP association logo free of charge for advertising their PEKiP group activities.

PEKiP Basic Course: € 1,750.00
PEKiP Practical Reflection: € 1,250.00
Participants will receive course materials and access to the media portal for PEKiP promotional materials. PEKiP group leaders can also advertise their PEKiP groups for free on the PEKiP e.V. website.
